Events

Traditionally several events take place in the museum every year:

On Easter – opening of the season – decoration of eggs in the big pot of the manor, egg rolling, egg fighting, swinging to scare off gnats in summer.

At museum night one can learn about the life of Munchausen and Jacobine in Duntes Manor House, engage oneself in merry and attractive activities, hunt gnats at the fire, have a meal in the inn as Munchausen used to say “Only a well nourished man is a warrior”.

On May 32 – the anniversary of the new museum building is celebrated with as many cakes, as the number of years which have passed since building the new museum and only one candle. Different famous guests arrive to the party where they treat themselves to cakes and blow out the only candle. The singer Olga and her disco for children, Max (without Moritz) and other interesting persons have been at Munchausen's place.

The visitors choose the territory of the museum for family events – birthdays, wedding anniversaries, family reunions. At first, the visitors listen to the Munchausen’s stories, take pictures of the wax figures, then they have a walk along the forest trail and have a rest at the seaside. After the walk, one can try the attractions of the recreation ship, but in conclusion – give a picnic – grill sausages and tell the most interesting stories of own life.
